Yapincak

The white grape variety originates from Turkey. Synonyms are Erkek Yapincak, Kinali Yapincak, Yapakak, Yapincak Kinali and Yapindjac. The late-maturing vine is generally well resistant to vine diseases and drought. Significant are the red-spotted berries, to which the name (sinng. "girl with freckles") refers. It yields low-acid white wines with aromas of apples, pears and quinces and is also used as table grape. The variety is cultivated in the northwestern Marmara region. However, no stocks were reported in 2016 (Kym Anderson).
