Yediveren

The red grape variety originates from Turkey. Synonyms are Vedi Firen Turki, Yedi Viren and Yediveren Blanc. It must not be confused with the morphologically similar variety Iri Kara. The parentage is unknown. The late-ripening, very productive vine yields simple red wines. It is also used for the production of sultanas and the traditional grape syrup Pekmes, as well as table grape. The variety is grown in the two provinces of Kirsehir and Nevsehir in Central Anatolia.
