Zeiseneck

Riede (site) in the municipality of Stetten near Korneuburg in the south of the Lower Austrian wine-growing region of Weinviertel. The steep south-facing vineyard has loess and clay soils that are partly interspersed with the remains of fossil shells and snails. The vineyard has a high water storage capacity. Due to its location on the edge of a large forest, it is exposed to large temperature differences between day and night. Together with strong autumn fog, this creates very good conditions for complex, aromatic white wines. Mainly Grüner Veltliner is cultivated here, but also Zweigelt. The Pfaffl Roman winery, for example, has a share in the vineyard.
