Zeppelin wine

Name for the Riesling wines from the famous single location Mülheimer Sonnenlay in the German growing area Moselle, These were served at the time of the great German airship on the airship LZ 127 "Graf Zeppelin", which was put into operation in 1928, in the on-board restaurant and enjoyed great popularity. With this fact, the viticulture community Mülheim to today on the labels with the text "The most drunk wine on the journeys of Count Zeppelin". The "Zeppelinwein" is still a sales racer. According to other sources also the vintage 1920 of the Kiedricher Gräfenberg Trockenbeerenauslese from the winery Robert Because in the Rheingau called Zeppelinwein.
