Zizak

The red grape variety comes from Montenegro. It must not be confused with the Sysak (Azerbaijan) or Syrah (with the synonym Zizak) varieties, as DNA analyses carried out in 2010 have proven its independence. However, the parentage (parenthood) is unknown. It yields full-bodied red wines, which are mainly used as blends. In 2016 no stock was reported (statistics Kym Anderson).
