The Moravian joint-stock company "Znovín Znojmo AS" or wine-growing company has its headquarters in Satov (Schattau). This is one of the largest producers Czech Republic
counting company produces five million liters of wine annually. This corresponds to around 3.5% of Czech annual consumption. A wide range of varietal and branded wines and also sparkling wines from the best locations in the Znojemská wine region are produced. The quality wines are marketed under the "Terroir Club" label. The products mature in the Moravian cellar of Satov, where there is also a large wine archive. The famous Sobes vineyard in the Thayatal National Park is also owned. The cellars for the production of white wines are located in Primetice, which includes the famous Jesuit cross cellar from the 18th century. The red wines are vinified in the cellar of Jaroslavice (Joslowiz). The archive cellar there contains the oldest Czech wines dating back to 1945.
In Znojmo part of the famous Premonstratensian monastery Louka, founded by Archbishop Norbert von Xanten (1080-1134), was rented, where a gallery and a museum for viticulture and cooperage are held and congresses are held. The company founded the first Czech wine shipping service. Hikes through the vineyards of the Znojmo region are organized every year. The tourist winegrowing program has been in preparation since 1997. The company "Agrovíno Vrbovec" also belongs to the joint-stock company, which delivers grapes from 170 hectares of vineyards for processing. These wines mature in a historic sandstone cellar from 1770 in the municipality of Chvalovice (Kallendorf) on the border with Austria. The basement 25 meters below the surface of the earth once served as tithe cellar
of the Louka monastery. 60 oak barrels with a volume of 100,000 liters of wine are stored in the 200-meter-long corridors. Around 300,000 liters of wine are produced annually, 25% of which are bottled wines.
