The winery is located in the municipality of Roselsdorf in Wersten in the wine-growing region of Weinviertel (Lower Austria). A wine tavern is attached, a seminar room and rooms for rent as well as wine tastings are also offered. Arable farming is also practised on around 70 hectares. The traditional family business is run by Reinhard and Kathrin Zöchmann. The vineyards cover 12 hectares in the Berg, Mitterberg and Sandberg vineyards on the southern slopes of the Schmidatal valley. There are soils ranging from loess to primary rock on the foothills of the Manhartsberg. They are planted with the white wine varieties Grüner Veltliner, Sauvignon Blanc, Riesling, Pinot Blanc, Welschriesling and Gemischter Satz, as well as Zweigelt.

The vineyards are cultivated according to the rules of organic viticulture. The wines are characterised by the dry and hot summer days and the cool nights during the ripening period. The white wines are matured in stainless steel tanks. The premium wines of the house include various Weinviertel DAC (Grüner Veltliner), the own brand Keltenwein Sandberg (the label shows a Celtic warrior with a Celtic coin found in Roselsdorf) and a Riesling.

There is a vast number of sources on the web where one can acquire knowledge about wine. But none has the scope, timeliness and accuracy of the information in the encyclopaedia at wein.plus. I use it regularly and rely on it.
