The winery is located in the municipality of Feldthurns in the Eisack Valley in the Italian wine-growing region of South Tyrol (Trentino-South Tyrol). It has been owned by the family for many generations. The estate includes a historical building, which was first mentioned in 1484. A renovation is planned in order to use it for events at the farm. Today the farm is run by Josef Unterfrauner. In 2001 he left the cooperative and began to market the farm himself. The vineyards cover 2.2 hectares of vines at an altitude of 600 metres above sea level with permeable soil consisting of a mixture of sand, gravel and Klausit, and are planted with the white wine varieties Gewürztraminer, Sylvaner and Müller-Thurgau, and the red wine varieties Blauer Portugieser and Regent. Already in 1994 the changeover to organic viticulture took place according to the guidelines of the association Bioland. Since 2009, practices of Biodynamic viticulture have also been applied. The product range includes the white wine cuvée Aurum (matured in stainless steel), the red wine cuvée Regius (matured in large wooden barrels) and the Eisacktaler Gewürztraminer. 10,000 to 12,000 bottles of wine are produced annually. Apple juice is also produced. The winery is a member of the Free Winegrowers South Tyrol.
