The winery is located in the municipality of Kirrweiler (Südliche Weinstraße area) in the German wine-growing region of Pfalz. The foundation was laid after the Second World War by the grandparents of the current owner. The following generation, Inge and Hermann Zöller, expanded it from a mixed agricultural business to a pure wine-growing business. Today, Thomas Zöller is the third generation to run the business. A wine bar and a guest house are attached. The vineyards cover 15 hectares in the Mandelberg, Oberschloss and Römerweg (Kirrweiler), as well as Doktor (Venningen). They are 60% planted with the white wine varieties Riesling, Müller-Thurgau, Kerner, Scheurebe, Silvaner, Pinot Blanc Ortega, Pinot Gris, Sauvignon Blanc, Gewürztraminer, Morio Muskat and Chardonnay, and 40% with the red wine varieties Dornfelder, Portugieser, Pinot Noir, St. Laurent, Cabernet Sauvignon and Regent. The best wines of a vintage are aged for at least nine months in barriques. Fine brandies (wine, yeast, fruit) and bottle-fermented sparkling wines are also produced.
